I recently acquired one of these at no cost, and was wondering if any of you had had this model in the past, and might have successfully done one of the following:
Installed a larger (primary) hard drive ? The specs say up to a 120 Gb. is supported . . . but that might not be the last word on the subject. The Ultrabay can accommodate an auxiliary HDD, but at the cost of ditching the optical drive, which I'd rather not do.
Installed the max. 4 Gb. of Ram, in order to go 64-bit ? (But then it's probably not worth doing this, as 4 Gb. isn't really enough to make a proper use of 64-bit ?)
Installed Win 7 on it ? The specs just go up to XP, which is what's on it now.
Installed Mac OS on one of these ? With pretty good results ?
If not, I think some distro of Linux would probably be accomplished easily enough.
