Re: Unwanted NumLock

If you download POWERTOYS, one of the most fundamental tools of
Windows management from the Microsoft site (it is 209K zipped),
you will find in it TWEAKUI, which let you easily do all sorts of
wonderful things that Windows should have built in, including
automatically switching NUMLOCK off, getting rid of the words
"shortcut to" in the labels of shortcuts, etc. Powertoys was
designed for Win95; in fact if you have the Win95 CD-ROM it will
be on it; but it works fine with Win98, which still lacks most of
its features.
