That's a new one on me . . . but then, I probably run

No, no, I was talking about Astra. You can register one
copy, to be used on one PC alone, for $19.95 IIRC; but
to run it on more than one PC (and once you've run it,
why would you need to run it again on that machine?)
you need to pay mucho dinero. Likewise, it's Astra
that won't let you print a report from the unregistered
version.
I just downloaded the Craig's PCI from the site you
cited (ouch!). I'm going to run the 32-bit version on
the new box we have at the office and see how it
matches up with the fairly complete docs that came with it.

refresher in "DOS 1.01" ? Isn't that still an
advantage we computing veterans retain over the
legions of clueless Win-folks ?)
Well, of course. Piping is one of the most useful
skills there it. Another is having the Generic text
printer driver installed. Then the occasional program
that won't allow redirection but can print can be told
to "print" the report to a file by way of Generic text
printer. I use it all the time with the mailing list
software.
