Subscribing to this list

I am trying to subscribe another address of mine to this list. As per
the instructions on the XyWWWeb page, I sent a piece of e-mail to
listproc@xxxxxxxx containing only the line "subscribe
xywrite Wolfgang Bechstein". Since that didn't seem to do anything, I
also sent another message containing only the line "subscribe
xywrite bechstein@xxxxxxxx". I sent both of these from the
actual address that I want to subscribe. It's been some 12 hours now,
and there has been list traffic, but nothing gets sent to that
address. What gives? Are persons using the word "poppycock" (which I
am not retracting) automatically put into a kill file?

[I can post from this address because the list accepts mail also from
non-subscribers.]
