I've had a number of these template/macro thingies in my KBD file for many
years, where they get regular usage. The mnemonics of it are important also:
if it's not something *you* will easily recall, you won't use it. In my case,
these two are on the CTRL-Shift table. C-S-> ("forward" facing caret) for the
SEarch template, C-S-< ("backward" facing caret) for the SEarch backwards
one. It is also helpful to use these in tandem with one of the "Put Defined
Text on the CM" routines, for plucking strings out of the text.
