Dear Phil,
I would suggest placing the LOAD XXX.PRN line later in STARTUP.INT.
I've never encountered your particular problem, but I recall that the
ORDER in which the commands appear in the start-up file can be important.
The person who suggested testing STARTUP.INT by flagging later and later
lines with a "marking message" had a more systematic way of diagnosing the
problem.
Also LOAD should suffice; I don't think LDPRN is necessary in
STARTUP.INT.
I just looked at my STARTUP.INT for XY4 and, unlike XY3+, the printer
file is named in SETTINGS.DFL, not STARTUP.INT. Significant?
