Sorry, Carl, I started to send what follows, then got interrupted. You're
right the problem is not in VA@ but elsewhere:

Further on my program that doesn't run: it's not the VA@ that is the
problem. FileInfo itself, just being executed on the CMline, is bringing
up only the path, not even the filename, let alone the other info. So it
must be due to a difference in the U2s.

But I checked, and the U2 frames for FileInfo are identical in the NB and
Xy U2s. So are the .REG files for both.
