And if you don't drop into other languages at the drop of a hat, you can safely stick to 437. (There
must be Greek name for that "drop...drop" turn of phrase. Anaphora? Epistrophe? A touch of
paronomasia, perhaps?) Even if you occasionally dip a toe into Italian or French, 437 includes the
most common accented chars, most of which are compatible with the Windows ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1)
character set.
