Printer Garbage

Just thought I'd pass along a warning to the list about the Canon
Bubble Jet Color printer. Nothing wrong with the printer, but the
graphics software that comes with it is fairly close to being a trojan
horse. Don't try to install it -- unless you're ready to have your
partition table trashed. Just happened to a client of mine, luckily I
was able to do a simple "fdisk /mbr" from straight dos and make things
alright again. some friends who have a computer business here cracked up
when I mentioned it to them -- they've seen it over and over.
Said that sometimes it does even more damage than what I saw, and the
drive really is trashed and has to be reformated.
Real nice of Canon, eh?
