Re: Nota Bene

I find Orbit very useful for billing purposes. It can search my daily
journals for every paragraph referring to a particular matter I am working
on and create a file of those paragraphs. As my daily journal paragraphs
are commenced with a reference to the matter and the "now" command, and
each day's journal file is named with its date, Orbit can create a
chronological file of every paragraph referring to that case, with the date
and time of each entry.
By making it a habit to make note in my daily journal of what I do and what
I spend on each matter, I have a very simple and workable way of keeping
track of time and expenses.
The commercial software packages for that purpose, like "Legal Tender" and
"Timeslips" are much too complicated and cumbersome for a semi-retired
lawyer and labor arbitrator practicing alone, out of his home. They are
designed for a big firm, ideally one with a full time clerical running the
software.

As someone else asked: could you explain what extra we'd get for the extra
$100? I myself don't use either style sheets or foreign language characters.
Is there any reason for me to go to the Workstation?

Thanks,
