Well the 60's are gone, and my experiences with free (or even modestly
priced) love, but I still have a Kaypro 286i PC-AT clone running Dos 5.0
and XyWrite 3.51... (and a P-II system with Win 98, linux. and Dos 6.0
on seperate partitions, on which I also use XyWrite). Anyhow.

There's some sort of "Scripting" that works with Windows. It may or may
not be on your machine, as it's one of the various options that can be
set up when Windows is installed on your machine. You can either rerun
the installation to get this or (perhaps) copy it from the original dist-
ribution disk if it's not. Documentation for creating scripts is sparse
however. For what it's worth, you can double click a BAT file name in
your Windows Explorer and get it to execute, so in some sense batch files
are still alive.

(There's a disadvantage to using DOS batch files however, in that they can
add/delete/move/etc, files without informing the Registry, and this may
not be a good idea for some of your applications.)
