Carl, that anomaly with VB only seems to appear with W2K. For
example, I never saw it with XP under VB. I therefore changed to VMware
because Kari's reasoning had sold me on W2K.
By the way, I just tried fullscreen in W2K/VMware and it does work.
However, the full screen is a tiny and unusable screen in the midst of a
huge black background. This may be because my W2K resolution is just
under 3200x1600 - - thanks to the W2K's inherent adaptability and the
magic of the VMware's video driver. However, resizing the VMware screen,
which also changes W2K's resolution, does not, as I had hoped, help with
the miniature 'full screen'.
What is the size of your monitor and what resolution are you using it at?
I am assuming it is an LCD set to native resolution?

PS for Bill Troop:
I am, thankfully, NOT seeing the problem with Xy not being able to
display directories under VBox. The DIR command works normally. I
don't remember what version of VBox you're using, but v4.3.12 is
working swimmingly here.
I hate to gloat, but full-screen Xy, NO keyboard lag, my old DOS
screen colors (cream-colored on a dark blue background, full U2
functionality) -- the lot! I can't get over it.
