I find spell-checking an open file tedious and annoying. Try doing it on a
file on disk instead. It generates a list of words it thinks are wrong.
You can very speedily delete the ones that don't need correction (e.g.,
proper names, Chinese, etc.), enter corrections for the rest, and use the
file to do automatic search and replace to fix everything at once. Try it.
You'll like it.
