Do you have the newest drivers for that put out by IBM and Tseng last
summer? I guess I should ask first -- is that the ET4000W32 Tseng chip? Most
people seem to be able to make it work fully now. I had no problem running
my older Tseng card at 1024x768, but I had one from STB (Lightspeed PCI
w/2meg) that I bought when I got a PCI mother, but couldn't get it to work
at higher than 640 under Warp, even with the newest drivers. One trick to
try is getting the svga.exe from Hercules --they changed it for the Tseng
chip.
I've got a #9GXE62 PCI card now, with the S3-864 chip -- it works at
1024x768 but I don't like it quite as well as a Tseng. And I've never gotten
any card to work at 800x600, I only get part of a screen, dos, Warp, or
whatever, but that seems to be my Viewsonic monitor.
