Re: Macrons in Xywrite

The technique for constructing macrons is very useful, but have
you considered defining a new display attribute which is assigned
an unused colour and making its definition, in turn, the
backspace/ overstrike sequence. It would make the on-screen
display less cluttered (all that you would see in normal mode
would be a distinctively coloured character which would be
overstruck). I have used this technique successfully with
printers that only had code page 437 in order to get accented
caps of Roman characters.
