Anyone using XYDOS with a HP Laserjet 4+ will be glad to hear that Kevin Duval
has come through again. The revised driver available on the TG BBS will now
print true typographer's quotes (XY symbol set 264,265) on the printer's
built-in fonts as well as the fonts supplied with XY.
I still have a problem that perhaps someone has also solved. In proportional
fonts the footnote superscripts in the text of a file print out much too large.
They are raised, but roughly the same size as the surrounding text, rather
than, as it should be, at least 2 points smaller. Unlike Nota Bene, XY has no
built-in way of controlling the size. This is not acceptable for typesetting
book pages. Any ideas of how to control this size?
