Jordan: XX defines additional floating accents beyond the S1-S7 function
calls. For example, you could use XX to write a caron over an "e". As I
recall, you were able to dedicate the caron to a key, e.g. "nn=XX,[734]", hit
that key, then strike "e", and "e-caron" would display (in Graphics mode). See
further p.78 Note #5 in Xy4 _Customization Guide_. I think there was a time
when XX worked (I wouldn't have entered it in my .KBD file if it didn't). But
under v4.015, it bombs. BTW, FYI there is no 3-finger C-A-D salute under OS/2
-- merely a crash of XyWrite's DOS box to the operating system. Since every
session is fully insulated from every other session, you just start right up
again. (The exception is Win-OS/2, which by default runs all programs in a
single Windows+DOS box -- in which case you have all the fun fun fun of GPFs
every hour or two. Problem is, if you optionally elect to run each Windows
program in a separate session, Windows demands an absurd expenditure of system
resources.)
