 The PTEST (Printer Test) command lets you test the accuracy of the
width tables in your printer file. This command is useful when you are
creating a new printer file or making major changes to an existing file.

 This application note explains the procedure for installing a new
XyWrite keyboard file or printer file. You would perform this procedure
if you modified your hardware configuration by changing the printer or

 Hewlett-Packard sells a font download utility called FontLoad which
works with its LaserJet and LaserJet II printers. It also works with
true HP compatibles such as the Kyocera and Okidata Laserline. For
XyWrite's purposes, FontLoad is used to download a specific set of
soft fonts to the printer.

 XyWrite includes a Page-Line indicator that tells you on which line
the cursor is positioned. However, what you may want is a total count
of the number of lines. This application note describes two programs
that you can use to quickly and easily determine line count.
