Rene--Coordinate your PostScript .PR3 fb< vector encoding table with
a PS.PR3 substitution table so, e.g., a typed cap phi (IBM ascii 232)
prints to device (screen or printer) as Oslash (standard Type 1 font
extended char set \351) and l.c. phi (IBM ascii 237) prints as oslash
(\271--octal designations). The Type 1 extended char set includes scores
of non-English chars and punctuation, and a full set of unattached
diacrits to join to unaccented chars if need be.
No PS interpreter? Oh. Pity. --a
