Speed anomaly (again)

I've mentioned this before, but it occurs to me that it might be the clue
to figuring out why XY4 under XP is so slow.
There is a very significant speed difference between the same cursor
movement functions according to which key they are loaded on. I tried this
on two different keyboards, same results, except even more pronounced on
the Avant Stellar. Approximate times below for the Avant:
To use CR to go across a full line of text:
using ctrl-j (key 39): 2 seconds
using right arrow (key 77): 3 seconds
using other right arrow (key 103): 4 seconds
As an experiment, I tried setting up key (2) to be CR and it was similar in
speed to 77.
Some timing issue is clearly being revealed here.
