Seized by doubt, I tried it once again, and got the same
results. Both your version and mine.
Do you mean you tried, from scratch, creating a program with each line of
code in it? Because one thing that occurs to me is that there could be a
confusion here between one-byte and three-byte representations of the
guillemets, which look the same but aren't. Or that you don't have PFUNCs
in one version.
What about just a program that defines some text and tries to save it in
the two ways.
Decode and run the following with any window open (can even be the program
itself that's open):
