For those of us who love fonts and type--a friend just informed me of this:
And did you know that your mayor declared this week to be "Type Week"
(yes--as in "typesetting"), and that there is an annual convention now
taking place in NYC called TypeCon? Participants include "assorted,
self-described font freaks and type nerds who can argue about kerning into
the wee hours" (NY Times, Saturday Metro Section, p. 7).
