I think the XyWrite-specific mods tried to force something that the Mo'Slo'
developer referred to, "redrawing the entire window for every character".
Clearly, that was NOT happening. Clearly, that's what you want to happen.
Every character would be displayed as it was "put". There would be no lag, and
then no leaping ahead; keyboard and video would be synchronized. As far as I
could tell, David Thomas did manage to do that fairly successfully. But I
gather there were omissions in his treatment, e.g. the cursor arrows.
