Nathan,
The problem seems to be more than placement of the label.
Are you using XyWin? Which version?
I made a very simple text file containing only the following lines:
≪FM1JU≫
This is a test.≪FN1≪LBMyron≫This is the note.≫
This is the next sentence.≪FN1See note ≪REFMyron≫, supra.≫
I can*not* get the cross-referenced numbers to print in XyWin 4.11 although
they *do* print in XyDos 4.15.
If I remove ≪FM1JU≫ from the file it works in both
XyWin and XyDos.
If I use REP instead of REF the correct *page* number will be printed, just as
it should.
I've used XyWrite since 1983, and after the initial learning period I've never
had a cross-referencing problem.
