Me, too. Besides, U2 converts measures that you can't usually calculate in
your head. Whereas English==>metric and v.v. is easy. Which is to say, that
if you need English-metric conversion, you've likely already got rules-of-thumb
embedded in your brain (1.6 km|.6 miles|2.6mm|1.1yards|21/20ths of a quart); if
you don't need it, then you don't need it.

But here's a simple converter anyway, for distances, fluids, and weights.
DECODE it, DeFine it, then "ADD2U2".

Converts (either way) from a *decimal* base:
MM CM MeTers KM <==> DeciInches INches FeeT YarDs MIles

Input, e.g., "metric 4.82qt"
