Hi, Alarik. I won't try to address what you can do online with Warp and
xyWrite, but let me suggest:
1. Before you make a decision about Warp, to get a sense of what you
have ahead of you read the os.os2.setup.misc newsgroup. If
you decide to try Warp and are getting a new machine, you'd be well
advised to insist that Warp be pre-installed, thus assuring you that you
are getting peripherals on the short list of those that support Warp.
2. While you're still using a shell acct, be sure your comm program is
configured for your ISP's terminal (probably vt100). With my comm
program, to activate vt100 cursor and Fkey emulation it's necessary
then to toggle NumLk; yours may work the same. ... To upload a dos file
to send as email, wait till you have pico on your screen, then use your
comm program's upload option. Alternatively, if you've already uploaded
from your PC to your unix home directory: with pico loaded, hit ,
type and enter the (unix) file name. Ciao. --Annie
