Remind me not to buy a printer from Lexmark....
If you're operating XyWrite under Windows, you ought to get
away with sending your print job to a file (with the TYF
command, rather than TY), and then printing that file from
Windows (right click with your mouse and select PRINT). You
might want to name the file .txt or .asc
to make sure Windows doesn't reformat it along the way...
If you're using DOS, yes MS-DOS 6.22 and earlier don't know
anything about USB ports. Take a look at Free DOS or the latest
and greatest IBM offering (I forget if this is called PC-DOS 7.1 or
PC-DOS 2000). No guarantees, but it isn't the case that DOS
is stuck forever with its 1991 capababilities.
