Hardly a week goes by in which I fail to discover some _new_ reason why I'm
glad I never had anything to do with Windows.
But seriously, I tend to doubt that XY is responsible for the anomaly you
describe. There must be other users and programs where this has cropped up.
It sounds to me like you need the services of a Windows guru. Have you posted
on the CIS Windows forums?
