No, they were 1.44 (2HD) disks. The magnetic charge created when the disk
is written weakens over time, and at some point it becomes impossible to
read. There are some variables of course, but it's sooner than you might
wish.
5.25's might well be more robust in this regard although I've not seen any
published data.
