Oh! So you are TYPING on this last line -- it's the last line
of the whole file-in-progress, not just the last line on the
screen. That's different. I didn't get that. Now I begin to
understand the problem.
And I can reproduce it with Tahoma and Verdana. These are both
faulty fonts. They both do the same thing in MS Word: cut off
the descenders on the last line (not as exaggerated as in NB,
but plainly evident). Times NR doesn't do that.
The solution is to get a good font editor (I use FontCreator
v5.6 -- but any one will work) and adjust the metrics. Raise
the Line Gap by a substantial amount, maybe 300-400 units. All
the descenders will display perfectly. If you want, I'll send
you a sample (like Verdana Regular) to demonstrate the effect.
Alternatively, if you want to use those fonts but not mess with
the innards, put a whole bunch of func MUs on a key, like 15 or
20 of them, to shove the screen up every once in a while?
