Kari,
Thanks for this. It's great to see the image of a
Xy4 screen at the top of the article.
Regards,
Harry
Thanks, Kari.
I thought that there might be an optional button
for displaying this in English -- as some
websites offer -- for those who might wish to
read the full text. (I do.) Maybe the next
best thing, I will try to pull this up in Google
Chrome, for its auto-translate feature . . . .

Ok, you are in the right place. The above is from:
http://www.root.cz/clanky/historie-vyvoje-textovych-editoru-krkolomna-cesta-k-modernim-textovym-procesorum/
The subject line is in Czech and means: The history of development of
text editors: arduous path to a modern word processor. The piece is by
Pavel Tianovský who works at Red Hat. The point is that this article
shows XyWrite 4 as some kind of apex of word processing. A good summary
of the early days of word processing as a whole. A lenghty list of links
at the end. This list alone is worth a look. No Czech required! Clearly
this guy is well read in his subject matter.
Best regards,
Kari Eveli
