tilde and kbd file

i guess i am rather klutzy about this operation, but when i loaded the
NO, [255],7,cE on the key, the customization error came up again. so i
tried to delete what was there.

it appears that there is still some kind of resident ghost tilde in
the file sine i now get the following customization error:

38ere seems to be a tilde in the works that i can't extricate, even
with ctrl-alt-shft [0], or delete or backspace. as you see i have
"pushed"it up to key 38 from key 41. but the damned kbd file will not
load now.

as to mr. holmgren's kind offer to insert all the tildes in my kbd
file: i currently have no easy way to compress and attach it to an
email -- i use an antiquated text only email client in emacs. but i
will work on it, given the trouble i am having with this kbd file.
