I agree with you about the adequacy of the RH dictionary. I wish
a more adequate thesaurus were integrated into one of the
dictionaries.
XYLNS is a typo for XPLNS. Thanks for calling it to my
attention. I will correct it. The information document tells
you how to download.
I study science and medicine in ancient and modern China. In the
past few months I have gotten into preparing camera copy with
Chinese characters integrated. Too bad it can't be done entirely
in XY.
Perhaps that will change some day. In the mean time I prepare
the
English text in XY, import into WordPerfect for Windows 6.1, and
insert characters there with TwinBridge 3.3. I have just
discovered that with this setup, random characters won't print
when the text is fully justified (they separate into their
constituent 2 bytes). No problem with ragged right borders. It
only seems to happen with large files (e.g., 50 pages=250K). TB
is trying to dope this out now. I have tried everything that
occurred to me. Anyone who is considering a setup like this
might want to check with me and see whether the problem has been
resolved.
I notice that, using XY full screen in Windows for Workgroups
3.11, calling the dictionary crashes the whole setup. I
therefore unload the dictionary before opening Windows, and then
run it in a separate window.
