Re: Mouse wheel is now supported in vDos-lfn

Hi Harry,

To finish up the feature, now the latest build of vDos-lfn (build 2016.08.15) will use the shortcut key method instead: you can switch the two values (default: "1,2") by pressing the middle mouse button and either the left or the right mouse button at the same time (unlike the previous solution, it will work even if MOUSE = ON is set). Then the mouse wheel movements will result in horizontal scrolling instead of the default vertical scrolling. On the other hand, the original behaviors can be restored by pressing the middle mouse button alone. Hope this will be useful.

Wengier,

That works. It's not a great solution, though, because normally your first
finger is on the wheel, and you have to move it to the left click wheel,
move your middle finger onto the wheel and your first finger onto the left
clicker, then move it back to normal position when done.

However, I wonder how useful this whole idea is, since XyWrite is not a
mouse-requiring program in the first place. And when you are moving back
and forth between a windows program that depends on the mouse and Xy, you
have to click in the Xy window to make the mouse operate there anyway.

Maybe we should look to other improvements first (not that I have thought
of any!).

Thanks for a great program.

Harry
