whenever I use F5 to return to the command line, the full screen goes black for an instant. Then it returns.
Jon, never heard of such a thing before. The first thing to do is to find out what's coming off your F5 key. Look in your .KBD file and see what's after the first63= that you find. It should be: 63=Q5BCThe Q5 part is for the spell-checker (IIRC). The BC is the Blank-the-Command-line part.If that's what you do have, try experimenting, separately with each of these 63=BC 63=GH 63=CCThese are alternate ways of getting to the command line (though only BC will go there AND erase it). These steps should isolate the problem, anyway. I assume you know that after saving the changed .KBD file, you have to command: ldkbd.kbd To make sure it "takes" you can use IDKEY.PM, which is attached. Just RUN it from the Xy command line, then hit F5.Attachment: idkey.pm
