I just tested my version of Virtual PC (3.0, DOS only), and it shells back
and forth perfectly. So is the problem with all the "Windows" versions of
Virtual PC, or does anyone have a Windows-inclusive version that shells to
DOS within XyWrite?
My problem of shelling out to DOS under VPC with Windows98 may be a problem
that only Robert can solve. Robert??? I can't think of anyway to test it
other than trying various forms of the DOS command, none of which work.
Also, by "DOS emulation under Virtual PC," Harry, do you mean a program
outside of Virtual PC, or just the bare bones version of the same
software, which is what I have?
Mine claims to be PC-DOS 2000.
I mean I have VPC creating a virtual machine with only the DOS from Win98
installed on it. So it "boots" (virtually boots) to the C:\ prompt. BTW,
it's wonderful how fast you boot to C:\--about one second.
