DL LASER FONTS WITH .BAT

nclosed with this msg, a small (1K) standalone DLFONT.BATch file for
on-the-fly use whenever a full-feature DownLoad utility to send softfonts to a
laser printer isn't available (I keep it in my laptop travel kit). DLFONT.BAT
does a creditable job of sending a single font to a Parallel printer: in
addition to DLing the font, it assigns the font Permanent status (can be
changed to Temporary if desired), and it sends a unique font ID-number (which
you select) to the LPT printer (so that fonts don't overwrite each other --
thus you can run DLFONT.BAT multiple times to load multiple fonts into printer
memory). Type DLFONT without arguments for instructions. DLFONT contrives to
send control characters (End-Of-File, and Escape) to the printer.
