You should look for ≪FR≫ or default FC=FR or d FC=FR in the following places:

Startup.int
Settings.dfl
Your printer driver

All of those places can harbor formatting codes and default settings. Whatever gets executed last is
what wins.

You could try commenting out the settings.dfl load line in Startup.int by putting ;*; in front:

;*;BX LOAD C:\xy4\xy4.017\SETTINGS.DFLQ2 FF ;*;

and then restarting XyWrite. If you get your flush left back, the problem is either in Settings.dfl
or in the printer file it loads, methinks.
