≪HOW do you persuade Windows apps to go anyplace but c:\Program Files≫
True, c:\Program Files is the default. Most app installation routines
provide you with a 'browse' or 'path' function to allow you to put it
somewhere else. If it's a browse function, there'll be an
explorer-similar window to click around in; if a path function, just
replace the c:\ with d:\ (or whatever) and click ok.
After installation, it's too late. You would have to re-install the app
and catch it at the appropriate moment. I don't think this is an
OS-specific default, but more likely an app-specific default. An app
which won't let me choose the file location is an app I return to the
place where I bought it and get my money back. I haven't used Corel in
ages, so I can't comment on it's behavior.
