I forgot to mention that the US Airforce has weapons systems which
track eye movements; the pilot sees a virtual heads-up display
floating in front of his visor with a mix of real-world and computer-
generated elements. He has merely to look at a suspected target (or
its computer-generated icon) and the weapons lock onto to it.

The pieces of the puzzle are all there. The neural interface is not
far off. Of course, the apps are what make the thing interesting for
the man on the Clapham bus.
