Off topic: that MicroSquishing noise you hear

One hates to say "I told you so," but on 2/26/03, when M$ purchase of
Connectrix was mentioned, I said: "Yeah, MicroSquelch will `continue to
support' it the way they did
with FoxPro. (I didn't believe them then either.)" (Actually, to give the
devil his due, I understand they did continue with FoxPro, but very much
sub rosa, and only to the installed base of users. Probably only because
there's too much data still in dBase data files all over the place.) They
didn't folow the MO I predicted, but the end result is the same.
