"Anybody here know Dutch?" I have a Dutch colleague. I'll ask her
thoroughly.
Separable verbs in German sometimes lay traps for non-native speakers.
Two of the most common prefixes in German are ab- and ent-, which are
often equivalent to English un-, anti-, dis-, or some sort of reversal.
The main part of the verb comes early in the sentence, but the whole
sense of it is reversed only at the very end, sometimes with comic
results.
