The ironies here are thick on the ground. That's the way ALL programs
USED to be. Until BBBG started ramming his shovelware down our
throats. XyWin pretty much meets the criteria (except that it won't
run on certain hardware under XP), and my abandonware accounting
package, MoneySmith, seems to also.
For portable apps that can run on thumb drives, see www.U3.com (a
highly suspicious name!)
