In reponse to the post of Walter Jowers ( from Nashville) wrote (with some
asperity that hardly seemed inappropriate) to an inflammatory post that
criticized him for daring to inquire whether XyWrite 3+ will be ready for the
new century, I reply:
Quite all right, Walter. It is understandable that you would be concerned. And:
it is an issue that has been dealt with already.
Here's the scoop. While Tech Group has provided a fix for version 4.0 for Dos
and for Windows, they have not provided one for 3+.
But not to worry. The only problem will be in the way XyWrite displays its
directories when you type the DIR command.
Instead of:
JACK 2678 5-26-99 5:19pm
JAY 877 2-02-98 11:29am
JILL 2716 8-04-99 10:24am
Thou shalt obtain:
JACK 2678 5-26-199 5:19pm
JAY 877 2-02-198 11:29am
JILL 2716 8-04-199 10:24am
I doubt this will concern you overmuch. If, however, it does, try this:
Adding (so sayeth the 3+ Manual) this to your printer file,
