Command "va/nv DR". What does it say? The DR variable ("default" -- how the
hell can a default be variable? this I have never understood) takes _two_
arguments, and you're probably -- I'll bet! -- just using one. You need two. Use
drives that are empty-ish. Like this:
df dr=e:\xy4;f:\xy4
Don't use the root directory; it's the only directory that has file limits. And
obviously don't use a removable drive, like A:
If you continue to get the message, then look in your primary DR directory (the
first spec) for a file with a funny name and a .TMP extension. It's the overflow
file. If it gets so big that XyWrite can no longer load it into memory, e.g. in
range 4.5-6.0Mb, then you have to reload and not edit too many files at one time.
There ARE limits!
P.S. What does "va/nv $OV" say?
