Leslie's idea is the only solution I can think of. You can't have
self-executing code in the file (thank God!).
But I'd suggest something easier than your ctrl F8 for switching between XP
and WN. I use ctrl-o. Not a good choice either, if you are used to doing
ctrl-o in Windows pgms to open a file. But a ctrl-alpha sequence is so much
easier to get to than a ctrl-function-key sequence.
And then, too, the whole world should have the ctrl-key next to the A, and
the function keys on the left. But let's not revisit the tragic story of
the demise of the proper keyboard layout.
