Migration does not require buying, as I recall (it was 3 years ago that I
did this). They have a free trial.
Their migration tool does work amazingly well--no installation or fixing of
anything in the original set-up. However, it takes something like 12 hours
to do its job. I thought it wasn't working because the progress bar didn't
show anything for about an hour. But no big deal: you run it overnight.
I've been using DosBox on a Mac for a few years now. The access to files
back and forth from DosBox to Mac programs, such as e-mail and Word is
effortless. However I'd prefer using XP (ability to use more than 2
windows in XyWrite among other reasons). Harry, do I have to buy a new
copy of XP or does the migration option allow you to copy XP OS from the PC?

For emulation, my money is on Parallels, which is available for $50 for
PCs. There's also a free trial. Good summary here:
