This came up as recently as last August (which now seems a
lifetime ago). The answer is yes, there are Jumbo U2 routines
for Xy4 that will cut and paste to and from the Windows clipboard.
You will need to purchase and install Rexx for Windows (IBM part
No. 0791030, Object Rexx for Windows ("interpreter" edition as
opposed to "professional" edition). Unfortunately, it is not
freeware; the price as of 8/01 was $75.

Robert Holmgren posted the instructions way back in January. Here
they are again. The URL for NEWSHELL.ZIP still works; I haven't
checked any of the other URLs.

1) Install U2 v105 [or later; the current version is 110]
2) Grab http://holmgren.home.acedsl.com/NEWSHELL.ZIP
UnZIP it into an EMPTY(!) temporary directory. View README.WIN (in
the .\DOCS subdirectory) with XyWrite for detailed XyShell
installation instructions. NEWSHELL also contains greatly improved
code for OS/2 (the first ground-up revision in four years).
3) Buy IBM Rexx at:

Both of these URLs, but especially the latter, will give you a sense
of what Rexx is about in the wider computing world. Rexx has been
IBM's primary scripting language for twenty years. It is available on
all IBM platforms. Rexx code is PORTABLE ACROSS PLATFORMS (write
once, run everywhere). Rexx is pretty amazing.
