I guess I'm just spoiled by working in Windows much of the time. In a Windows
app, at least a well-designed one, the screen automatically scrolls as soon as
you pull the mouse pointer below rthe bottom line of text on the screen. It's
convenient and you get used to it.

But this doesn't seem to be the standard in the DOS world. I just checked the
Msoft DOS Edit and sure enough, to scroll down, you either have to click on a
scroll bar or use an arrow or pagedown key.
