I minor problem. I've been given a new Lenovo laptop, and I've

I am caught between a Dos window and Windows XP. I suspect that
it may have something to do with my shortcut.
Are you running in full-screen or Windowed mode? Does you shortcut
have Close on Exit (or something like that; not near an XP box right
now) checked in its properties?
If you are using TAME, and if you start XY with a .bat file to invoke
TAME (this instead of Autoexec.nt), then you have to use the
following procedure [from D. Thomas]. Create the shortcut from
editor.exe. not the .bat. After its created, open *properties* and
change *Cmd line:* to execute your bat. Then *apply.*
A) If you are not using TAME, what happens, after you start XY, then
shell out to DOS? Do you get a blank screen or a DOS prompt?
B) What happens if you go to CMD Prompt and invoke editor from the
prompt, then quit the program?
If you get the same behavior on quitting, it would seem the problem
is not the shortcut.
